CRFC has a brand new look for the 2021 season!

New for 2021, CRFC will offer rugby programs for both men and women of all ages!

CRFC, originally a women’s club, has now merged with Mudmen RFC, a men’s club. With both groups having a strong on-field product and common off-the-field values, they have come together to form one club that is open to everyone.
In 2021, CRFC will have several on-field groups:
– CRFC Mud Dogs Minor Rugby (Ages 4-12, co-ed)
– CRFC (Senior Women’s Division 1 and Division 2)
– CRFC Mudmen (Senior Men’s Division 1 and Division 2)
– CRFC Sirens (Alumni Women, non-contact)
– CRFC Mudmen Old Boys (Alumni Men, non-contact/occasional contact)

CRFC was formed in 2017 as a first division team that competed in the Nova Scotia Senior Club Rugby League. They added a second division team in their second season and began to form an alumni group of women in 2019 to allow women to stay involved in the game once they retire from contact rugby.

Notable Results:
2018 Nova Scotia First Division Champions
2018 Nova Scotia Second Division Champions
2018 Maritime First Division Champions
2018 Canadian Club Nationals – 4th place

Mudmen RFC was formed in 1998 following the Abegweit Rugby Club folding. After several years of struggling to survive, the Mudmen began to flourish in the late-2000s and early-2010s. They added a second team in 2013, and formed an alumni group in 2018 that has continued to grow and laces up their boots a few times per season.
